Mount SkyDrive as network drive – Windows 7


Open https://skydrive.live.com and login with your live account

Click on the Files and see the URL to get your “CID” query parameter.

Map the network drive with this URL https://d.docs.live.net/Your-CID

When prompted for username/password, login with your Windows Live User ID and Password.
And that’s it, You are done!

  1. Thank you so very much. Simple, easy, quick. I missed the s in https, caught mistake after a few tries and it worked instatnly.

  2. It works. At first I didn’t belive the “d.docs” and used only “docs”. I was wrong. Your method is the best. I have, however, my Windows 7 user linked to Hotmail ID. Not sure if it was necessary.

  3. anyone get this to work in WIndows SErver 2012? It gets an error trying to connect however works fine in windows 7 – Windows 8
